Video that actually serves your business

I'm Matt Burke, and I help companies create video content that works — not just content that looks good.

Here's my story

I've been producing and editing video for over 7 years. I started in the nonprofit world, creating fundraising videos that helped organizations raise millions of dollars. That taught me something important: video isn't about showing off technique — it's about getting a result.

From there, I moved into the B2B world, working with SaaS companies, professional services firms, and healthcare organizations. I learned how to take complex products and ideas and make them clear. I learned how to create content that actually moves prospects through a sales funnel. And I learned how to do all of this efficiently, without massive budgets or long timelines.

In 2020, I founded what's now ClearCut and went full-time with video production. After taking time away to welcome my daughter, I'm back — more focused, more experienced, and more committed to delivering work that actually moves the needle for the businesses I work with.

I'm based in Boston, work with clients nationally, and believe that great video comes from understanding your business goals first, and figuring out the creative approach second.

How I work

The principles that guide every project

Strategy Before Production

Every video starts with questions: What are you trying to accomplish? Who needs to see this? What should they do after watching? The creative follows from those answers, not the other way around.

Clear Scope, No Surprises

I package my work into clear offers with defined deliverables. You'll know exactly what you're getting, when you're getting it, and what it costs. No hidden fees, no scope creep, no project management headaches.

AI as Tool, Not Replacement

I use AI tools to work faster and smarter — for transcription, for color correction, for motion tracking. But the strategic thinking, the storytelling, and the final judgment? That's still human. That's still me.

You're Busy, I Get It

I know you have a day job that isn't "manage a videographer." I keep communication efficient, feedback loops short, and revision rounds limited. You shouldn't need to become a video expert to work with me.

One Person, Direct Access

When you work with me, you work with me — not a team, not a project manager. You get my cell number. You get responses within 24 hours. You get someone who actually cares about the outcome.

Results Over Aesthetics

Beautiful work that doesn't accomplish anything is just expensive decoration. I care about whether your video actually does what you need it to do — close deals, raise funds, build authority, educate customers.

The technical stuff

If you care about gear and process

Equipment & Capabilities

I work with DSLR and mirrorless cameras (Sony & Canon systems), professional lighting setups, and broadcast-quality audio. I'm an FAA-licensed drone pilot and carry comprehensive production insurance.

For editing, I use Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with DaVinci Resolve for color grading. I can deliver in any format you need — web, social, broadcast, cinema, you name it.

Process & Timeline

Retainer clients get predictable turnarounds: 3-7 days for most edits. Project-based work runs 2-4 weeks from kickoff to delivery, with clear milestones along the way.

Every package includes defined revision rounds so you're not paying for endless tweaks. But if we need more, we'll figure it out.

Who I Work With

I focus on three main areas: B2B companies (especially SaaS, healthcare, and professional services), executives and thought leaders building their LinkedIn presence, and YouTube creators who need reliable editing support.

I work with clients nationally, though I'm based in Boston. Most of my editing work is fully remote. For shoots, I'm available locally or can coordinate hybrid/remote production.

Availability

I work with a focused number of clients at a time. For new projects, typical lead time is 1-2 weeks, though I can accommodate rush work when possible (with a fee).
